Hero Commander
Hero Commander is a browser MMORTS developed and published by GTArcade. Azenia is the fictional game world where players adventure as saviors and members of the royal family.
They must raise an army in order to eliminate threats such as terrible beasts or other pretenders to the throne. The Grand City is a player’s command center. It is inhabited by civilians, military troops and heroes. All important Hero Commander features like recruiting heroes, upgrade equipment and army management can be accessed from the Grand City interface.
Players have the option to enter treaties with other Hero Commander users for better economic development or focus on military campaigns. Legions are alliances of players that decide to enjoy the game together. All players should consider joining a legion not just because of the perks but also for social interaction.
Players are given two choices when creating a starting character. They can choose a male or female avatar model. Several other avatars will be available later in game. Hero Commander is one of the RTS games that combine strategy combat with roleplaying character system. Players recruit multiple heroes and units to join their cause. These heroes have stats, abilities and can equip gear to enhance their combat performance. Main stats like agility, strength and wisdom influence secondary stats and also how troops perform on the battlefield.
The talent system is a Hero Commander feature that allows players to boost their heroes main attributes. Gear plays an important part as well. Heroes can equip weapons, helmets, boots and accessories. There are five types of equipment based on quality: green, blue, purple, orange and red. The best Hero Commander armors are orange and red. The upgrade equipment feature is used to improve heroes gear. The Forge is another handy upgrade system that gives players the chance to boost equipment stats. Mats are consumed in this process. Gems are another way to add extra attributes to a piece of equipment. There are multiple types of gems. Heroes may receive bonuses for using a certain gem combination.
A Hero Commander army contains heroes and four types of troops: dragons, soldiers, knights and archers. The last three types of units follow a rock-paper-scissors rule that determines a fair system of strengths and weaknesses. Dragons are the best troops. After players assemble their armies they are ready to tackles some of the Hero Commander MMO challenges. World bosses are available every day. Legion dungeons are PvE content designed for multiplayer. Hero Commander is a free to play game with extremely nice graphics and casual features.
